Cretan Cooking Courses

Traditional Cretan Cooking Lessons by Androniki & Pantelis

Availability and more details

We wish to give to friends of Crete, the experience of our true life and true homemade traditional food.
Our lessons take place in the flowered courtyard of our house and the food is baked in the old fashion wood oven.
The dishes we prepare are part of the daily diet of Cretans.
These are based on olive oil, or as it is known “the gold of Cretan land” and seasonal vegetables.
The ingredients (olive oil, vegetables, fresh meat, fresh milk, wild greens, herbs, fresh eggs, fruits, etc.) are either from our own garden or from farmers very close to us.

Our menu can easily be adapted for our vegetarian friends. Besides, the Cretan diet is almost vegetarian.

Please let us know if you follow any special diet or have any allergies.

your visit to our house includes

           a warm welcome
with homemade lemonade or cretan tea and kallitsounia (cheese pies with homemade cheese and honey),
a short tour of our place which is decorated with many old things,
and of course chatting to get to know each other.
